I broke the cardinal rule this past weekend – I did (wore) something new on race day…after struggling for months with the logistics of carrying my iPhone 6+ with a case, I broke down and ordered a PakRat waist pack. Would you know, it was delivered on Friday before Bridge Street Half Marathon. Yes, I took that chance and wore it that Sunday on race day – it was a bit bothersome after 3 or so miles, the weight of the phone pulled the pack down and relatively unfolded it. After turning it around backwards and all kinda of things to keep it still and from annoying me, I ended up unfolding it so it was from below waist to under chest, kinda like a girdle, lol as annoying as that may sound, it never moved again and I had full unobstructed access to the contents without having to unfold. This is not how the product was designed to be worn, and I will be giving it a go on shorter runs this week to see how I can make it work. Wondering about sizing and if it could be a fit issue - not giving up yet, but will have to be continued…
