BEST SHIP NAME - ROUND 1
This poll is purely about the name itself, not the ship/ships associated.
Mary Celeste vs Andrea Doria
Mary Celeste
Andrea Doria
Propaganda:
Mary Celeste - I don't know the origin but it is a very pretty name for a ship.
Andrea Doria - Named for a Prince. Also a very pretty name for a ship
even if my ghost crab quest was a bust I did get this cool photo of atlantic city with a flying rod in the sky.
So, I've always known deep inside me, that Ferenir's equipment is all wrong. It was made following gameplay intent and not thematic accuracy.
And, granted, it still made sense for a while, as still weak and vulnerable, with his life in constant danger, he sought to 'turtle up'.
But.
Now that this is no longer the case, there are a lot of things that dont make sense. Considering his toughess is so high, wearing that much heavy armor is...inefficient. And taking into account his superhuman strength, not using a two handed weapon is a waste of talent (even in real life, using two hands on a weapon increases its force output by 50%. The stronger you are, the higher the benefit).
So...maybe something like this would be more appropriate...A mix of chainmail, brigantine, and solid plating over the vulnerable spots..Shoulders left free to wield a large, two handed hammer...
The Hermaphrodite brig, or brig-schooner, is square-rigged at her foremast like a brig, but without a top forward, and carrying only a fore-and-aft mainsail and gaff topsail on the mainmast. And here it may not be out of place to mention another subtlety: while a barque has three masts, being square-rigged at her fore and main like a ship, and differing from a ship-rigged vessel in having no top at her mizzen, but carrying a fore-and-aft spanker and gaff topsail, yet what is known among sailormen as the "Jackass" barque resembles a barque proper, but has no crosstrees, does not spread lower courses and has no tops.
