Native American Heritage Month
In celebration of Native American Heritage Month, we are sharing some remarkable art created by a young Chippewa artist, Bruce Allery, for the 1984 Intermountain Indian School in Brigham City, Utah. The school closed in 1984. Our colleagues at the National Archives in Denver hold student records for the school through 1974.
The power of these records never ceases to amaze. For more on the interesting things we’ve found in the records of the Bureau of Indian Affairs’ boarding schools see this website.
The yearbook was collected by the Phoenix Area Office’s Office of Education, which oversaw the school.
Brigham City (2001) - Wilford Brimley as Stu
[SPOILER ALERT]
Wilford Brimley’s character gets his brains blown out here. In my head, it went a little differently as he still gets his head blown, but in a different way. You know what I’m talking about.

14th Temple in Utah
Announcement: 3 October 2009 Groundbreaking and Site Dedication: 31 July 2010 by Boyd K. Packer Public Open House: 18 August–15 September 2012 Dedication: 23 September 2012 by Boyd K. Packer
The Brigham City Utah Temple was built on the site of the elementary school President Boyd K. Packer had attended 80 years prior to the temple groundbreaking ceremony. The temple’s design and landscaping was inspired not only by the history and design of Brigham City, but also by the designs found in the Logan Utah, Manti Utah, and Salt Lake Temples. In 2014, the Brigham City Utah Temple won the PCI (Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute) Design Award for Best Religious Structure.

Watching a movie
Mun is watching an old movie called Brigham City. I'm not sure what my thoughts are on it yet.

I went for the birds, then fell in love with #3151.
