meet Vito Valenti, the washed-up soap star

one of the most popular soap opera stars of the 90s, famous for playing bad boy Tommy Taglieri in the long-running program Beating Hearts, which he left at the height of his fame to launch a movie career (spoiler alert: it didn’t work out)

starred in one of the biggest box office bombs of all time, an action-thriller called Sandy Dunes, which won him a Razzie for Worst Actor

was forced to return to Beating Hearts with his tail between his legs after becoming known as a “show killer” in primetime television, which lasted for all of six months before the soap was canceled

mostly appears in Hallmark original movies these days and is forced to pander to the housewives who love him to make a living, which means hiding the fact that he’s a big ol’ bottom daddy

But his remarks weren’t meant to be rude or even hostile, given the playful smile on his face and raised eyebrows at Wayne. “Otherwise I’m gonna start thinking instead of checking me out I’ve got something on my face and I don’t need to feel that level of paranoia buddy, so why don’t you come over here and buy me that drink I mentioned.”
