I saw you liking the 'Son of The White Mare' posts and I highly recommend that: can't think of much that animates the way it does!
Kurosawa's' Ran' and 'Dreams' are absolute delights of colour and motion; taking everything he was well known for and applying it in full bredth of what a visual moving picture can convey .
I haven't seen it yet but 'Mad God', the stop-motion passion project of Phil Tippett seems like an absolute beast of a movie. Who is Phil Tippett? If you can think of any ILM visual effects that made use of stop-motion or puppetry, he's probably had some involvement. Created the 'go-motion' style of stop-motion (check out the dragon from 'Dragonslayer'!)
Upcoming ... I am looking forward to Sayonara Lara. The character designs have this retro-anime charm to them yet it clearly is something that can only exist as a modern animated movie...soon, hopefully! I'm curious to both see it as an animated work and another adaption of The Little Mermaid
