More pictures of our walk to Monk’s House, the gardens, and finally my pub lunch.

A Night At The Aquarium!
Brighton’s Aquarium is the oldest operating aquarium, dating back to 1872.
My absolute favourite was Hermann, the clumsy pig-nosed turtle!
They had to move him into a tank with less rocks and such, because he kept bumping into them. Given that he’s a soft shell turtle, he unfortunately hurt his shell, but he’s being taken excellent care of!
I also met Lola, who came to Sea Life as a rescue together with Gulliver, both of them too old by now to be released into the wild: They are likely around 85 and 110 years old and were stolen from a beach at a very young age to be used for a soap commercial. They then had a sad journey along several aquariums all through America until finally getting their forever home in Brighton. The tank they are in even offers a beach, so that they can come ashore if they want to.
I also spent some time pondering the lobster orb and watching the upside-down jellyfish. All in all a lovely event to attend!
