Yeah I made quite a few new characters this year. It would probably be a lot to name all of them, so I’ll just name my favorite new character of 2025
This is Brijin Wolcon. It/they pronouns. It is an oliveblood author who writes primarily poetry and horror short stories. Brijin finds that most stories it reads are ingenuine, so it makes sure to take in a wide variety of experiences to enhance its work.
In the sense of Alternian violence, this means that it has attacked, killed, hurt others. It steals, it lies, it trespasses, but all only on its own schedule. It takes notes on the way it feels while it does.
It’s raised by a Lusus, a wolf named Ginger. The wolf is eerily troll like, and in some ways she is more civil than Brijin is. The two of them are inseparable and it’s rare you would see one without the other.
This is actually Sovrie’s moirail too. It also pretty much caused Sovrie’s matesprit to dump her (tho Sovrie started that process by being a wreck). Their first date was exploring an abandoned ship and Sovrie had to stop Brijin from beating up a homeless troll to take his stuff. Sovrie realized Brijin would get her out of the house more, Brijin realized that it is interested in what it would be like to have someone try to stop it, and what dynamics that could add to its writing!
