A month and a half or...that's how long she'd been here, right? That long she'd been here for "vacation", that long she'd seen many strange things in this town, that long she had time to prepare herself for any bizarre otherwordly things she may encounter before her Summer was over.
...
And yet, nothing could have prepared her for what she just witnessed, after hearing of "hiccups" where things were floating seemingly out of nowhere earlier in the day, Mathilde couldn't quite figure what to do! Run, flee, hide? Telll her parents? No no, of course not! She had to investigate.
Which had brought her to outside the town... in the forests that surrounded it, but not too deep, none too far from that Mystery Shack that she sometimes visited out of boredom
TO her dismay, not much had happened...until recently when she found herselff floating upwards for a very prolonged period of time, she wasn't quite sure how much time had passed...but it seemed after a large amount of racket, it had stopped, and she was no longer floating...
...But of course, since her instinct was to hang onto the first thing she saw...which in this case, was a branch that was quite high up in the air, she found herself trapped like a cat on top of a high tree.
"Oh... darn" She said to herself, looking downwards.
Normally she was one to climb downwards, but this was... a really high tree, and given how she almost floated up into oblivion she wasn't quite sure if she wanted to risk that...
"...." She looked down sheepishly, sitting down carefully of the branch.
"Crud... ummmm...hello! Anyone? Any lumberjacks? Heroic Elk...? ...Anyone...?" She certainly hoped someone would be out here to rescue her, otherwise she might have to take her chances climbing down... and a slip might cripple her plans for the rest of the summer...figuratively and literally!
