Been thinking and honestly I wanna change one thing about Tears of the Kingdom (technically like three idk)
When Rauru's Secret Stone fell, Link picks it up first.
Its already suggested/theorized that he has time-based powers thanks to his flurry rush and bullet time, the Secret Stone would empower that. It would also be cool to get a glimpse at what Link could potentially do with a Secret Stone, without giving the player something so overpowered. Link picks up the Stone, his Time Powers don't do much against Ganondorf's Darkness and the Master Sword breaks. As he's reaching out for her, he drops the Stone while thinking Save her. Zelda catches the stone and disappears into the past, Rauru catches Link and takes him to the Room of Awakening to Heal. This makes Zelda's confusion over how to return to her own time feel a little less "Its my own fault I can't get back" and more "This is all I can do". Zelda trains with Rauru instead on how to use her Light Powers and her Secret Stone, while Sonia makes an attempt to reach the future, her powers aren't enough to send Zelda back but she does receive the Master Sword. Together, Zelda and Rauru are able to repair the Master Sword while figuring out what to do. Sonia dies to Ganandorf, Rauru seals him away, and Zelda realizes that the Master Sword is in no way ready to be used against Ganondorf even in the future and becomes the Light Dragon to empower the Master Sword.
This gets rid of the (read: my) confusion over how Zelda's Time Secret Stone turned her into a Light Dragon when swallowed, and overall feels like a more cohesive story
