Cala Maria yawned as she woke up upon her seaweed bed. She smiled brightly, the sun glimmering into the water. She swam up, knowing today was going to be a great day!
She was expecting Mugman today since they were going to have a picnic together with Cuphead and Elder Kettle, but she had plenty of time to get ready. She began smoothing the tentacles of her octopus hair when two eels came up. She yelped and sighed.
"Hello Lightning, Fried," she sourly stated. Ever since they bit her before, it took forever to turn back and to find her head. Of course, she was well now, but the memory would never leave.
"Oh, you remember us!" Lighting flashed a smile.
"How could I forget?" she sighed.
"Well, we have something for you!"
This peaked her interest, but she wasn't about to fall for it.
"You're going to bite me again, aren't you?" she crossed her arms. "Like before!"
"Not exactly," Fried giggled.
"There's no not exactly, there's a yes and then there's a no."
"... well someone's cranky..." Lightning muttered under his breath.
"I heard that!" she hissed. "Look. Today is a special day for me. Mugman and his family are coming over."
"Ooh! Your boyfriend's coming?" Lightning gasped.
"He's not my boyfriend!" she blushed. Sometimes, though, she secretly wish he was. Mugman, to her, was adorable and innocent and was just asking for a giant hug. She remembered the day when she first saw him after battle, he was coming to apologize, but there were tears in his eyes. So she would hug him and rock him, telling him everything is alright.
"Suure," Fried smiled. "Well, you can't see him being cranky."
"I'm not cranky!"
"You sure?" Lightning raised an eyebrow. She was about to argue again when Fried went to her left hip, nudging it. She yelped and let out a little giggle before quickly placing her arms over the place.
"Don't do that...!"
"Oooh I think someone's tiiiickliiish..." Fried pointed out the obvious.
"I am not!"
"Oh, let me answer that," Lightning grinned, going over to the other side quickly and nibbling on it. She shrieked and let out some laughter as Fried did the same move.
"Stahahap!!" she laughed. "Th-this is nohohoho fair!!"
"All's fair in tickling and war," Fried grinned, taking the nibbling up to her side. She swayed, trying to shake them off. The biting didn't hurt, it was the complete opposite. She couldn't tell if she thought it was better or worse.
"It tickles sohohoho muhuhuhuch!!" she blurted from her laughter.
"Then how's this?" Fried grinned. He nodded at Lightning and they both blew raspberries on her sides. It felt like ticklish electricity coursing through her body.
"NOHOHO!!! AHAHAHA!!!"
She tried dancing and swinging her hips to shake them off, pushing them away with her hands, spurting threats, anything! But they wouldn't let go. She was stuck like Minnow in the Middle.
Briney Beard, who was sunbathing on his ship, was unaware of the laughter since he had a radio on, but his ship heard it. The ship put some water in its mouth and sprayed it on him.
"Gah!! Shiver me timbers, Lassy!!" he gasped from his half nap. "What in Davy Jones Locker was that fer?"
He turned off his radio and then heard it, laughter. He did know that laughter, however. "Cala?"
Lassy and Briney headed towards the noise, seeing Cala trying to shake off now five eels nibbling and nuzzling her sides. He watched and then Cala saw him.
"Aahaahaha!! Captain!! Please hehehehelp!!"
He looked at her and then at Lassy, who smiled and nodded.
"I don't know, matey," he smiled. "That laughter suites ye very well."
"Pleeheeheeheease!!" she begged through her bubbly giggles. He pretended to think, smiling.
"Hmm... alright, I'll help," he smiled.
Lassy sailed lightly towards Cala and Briney got close enough. Cala was about to feel relief, thinking she was about to be saved, but instead, she felt ten fingers attacking her neck, dancing crazily. She squealed and tried blocking her neck, but Briney had strong hands and they still tickled, even if they were being squished. Lassy got to her stomach and let off a large raspberry, her shrieking in surprise and ticklish anguish.
"NOOHOHOHOHO!! THIS IHIHIHIHISN'T HEHEHEHEHELPING!!!"
"It isn't?" Briney acted surprised. "I think it is...!"
The eels continued to torment her hips and sides, Briney on the neck and Lassy stuck on her stomach. She never expected her morning to turn out so tortuous. Briney looked at her laughing face, but saw it was tomato red, tears running down her face. He stopped his tickling. "Alright, I think she's had enough, lads."
They followed his instructions and stopped tickling, Cala panting furiously.
"You all are suhuhuhuch meanies..." she giggled, the phantom tickles remaining
"Aw, ye know we do this to make ye smile!" Briney patted her back, Lassy nodding.
"Now go get ready for your boyfriend!" Lightning quickly said, ducking under water, Fried following.
"He's not my boyfriend!" she shouted after them.
