@Polyvore Artists
I see everyone talking about their outfits on Polyvore, but has anyone mentioned the art sets yet? Because art sets were my favourite creative outlet and I put so many hours into making each and every one. I used to be sh*t at them but I loved to challenge myself to improve and in my opinion, I really did. I was only on hiatus for a few months as I had just started college, but I would visit every few days to work on art drafts because as stressful as it was to manage my account, I found joy in creating art sets. Symbolism, colour, accents, etc. all of these played a big role in my creations. I always felt that my outfits/magazine sets were subpar but I was truly proud of my art sets and had over 10 pages of drafts saved to post when I returned, which I was planning to do next month.
According to users who have received their content, drafts are not included and this angers me greatly. I’m still waiting on mine to process and considering Polyvore was my first kind of social media back in 2014, there is a lot of stuff I’m waiting for. And I know that I won’t get back half the sets I want most. I am a marketing student and planned on using Polyvore as a showcase of my design and creativity skills for upcoming projects and future employment. Album covers were one of my favourite things to create and I don’t know if any other site can offer the same function. I made an album cover for my mum earlier this year as I made her a CD for her birthday. I made birthday cards for friends. I made custom wallpapers and am currently using one I designed myself. I’ve always been a fan of personalising my designs. I know ShopLook are offering the outfit-making functions but does anyone know where I can find an art set type of site? I really need it for not just my own enjoyment but now for my possible degree too. F*ck, I used it to make a graphic for an assignment and solo presentation last semester and got a fantastic reaction and I wish to continue delivering that kind of content.
Also for anyone wondering, I was niamho99 on Polyvore. I don’t have any social media tbh but I’m always open to messaging here.
