Flapper
Sail: N 71, D 60
Year Built: 1939
Designer: Christian Jensen
Builder: Anker & Jensen
N 71 Flapper was built in Norway just prior to the outbreak of World War II. Later sold to Denmark, she was the alternate for that country's 6 meter entry in the 1948 Olympics. Flapper made her way to Maine in the early 50's, but never took part in the post-war six meter scene on Long Island Sound or on Lake Ontario. She was used as a cruiser for a little while, but has now been returned to racing trim and continues to race everywhere and anywhere there's good competition.

Canvasback, another Alerion under construction at Rieff’s. I guess in keeping with the Alerion tradition, most of them are named after birds? That’s kinda neat.

Ummm here’s some Alerion content for y’all.

Alana, a William Fife designed 6 Meter restored (and even rebuilt) by Rieff Boats in Maine. Worth mentioning that the deckhouse is not Alana's, but rather an oddly framed photo. (via Brion Rieff: Boat Builder)

Very, very nice.
