Where you see a mousetrap, I see free cheese And a fucking challenge.
Public Enemy, Betty Boo & She Rockers - McDonalds freestyle
(Finn Foxell)
Got That
Got that is a pretty cool song. Beat-wise it's solid, like all of the other songs. The intro was great. Sounded American. Ha. I like the underground feel to it. Has some modulated bass in it. (Dubstep) The song talks about contemporary issues and how being in the future isn't something to write home about.
Memory Lapse
Synth-powered beat. Saw-like synth to get you bouncing on your feet. This song was pretty awesome. I wasn't a complete fan of his flow in the first verse and the chorus, but that's me. It didn't hold up to the previous single. The duo worked perfectly together. The next guy however slaughtered the track. Good call.
Boxcutters
My personal 2nd favorite. Natural Selection establishes his part in storytelling, doing a great job at it. It has a Plan B, feel to it on this song. "Gimme the loot"
Overdone
Deeflux, the emcee, did pretty well on this song. Beat was alright. Took a while to find the groove to. The next guy's voice was a bit too high but that's just me. The guitar groove was really nice. The bass to the sound was perfect, fitting the song. I like the chorus on this.
All Good
The Vox in the beginning, made the song, so much more amazing than it would have been before. I think this song, being my favorite, should have been the first song on the EP and the leading single. It's a great song. Natural Selection found their muse with this song. The vibe of the song was pretty much chill and the piano had a grand accompaniment to the song.
Overall - 7.8
"I Need" by Maverick Sabre
I need sunshine, I need angels, I need something good yeah I need blue skies I need them old times I need something good yeah something good.."
I see no point in living life that right, So I just take what I can find. I see no point in living life that right, When you're out here in this jungle. It's wild round 'ere, you don't wanna spend a night round 'ere. When you're out here in this jungle, ain't nothing nice round 'ere, Trouble's what you find round 'ere.
1982 IN BRIT RAP: "QUEEN OF THE RAPPING SCENE" BY MODERN ROMANCE FT. BEV SAGE
This isn't the least dodgy thing to ever happen to rap, but it was among the earliest British rap hits -- Dizzy Heights' "Christmas Rapping" charted in 1982 (the Waitresses' "Christmas Wrapping" was also a hit in '82), "Buffalo Gals" came out that year, Wham and the Antmuzik Krew tried some stuff -- and it was femme accordion rap two decades before Yolanda Pérez. Strike a blow for women's rights!
