Pres. Trump in 2018 asked the U.S. ambassador to Britain, Woody Johnson, to see if the British government would help steer the British Open golf tournament to Trump's Turnberry resort in Scotland, The New York Times reported. It is the latest known instance of Trump using the American presidency to generate business for his properties; he earlier sought to hold the G7 global summit at Trump National Doral Miami, a resort he owns in Florida. Ambassador Johnson was advised against making the request from his deputy, who warned that such a move would be an unethical use of presidential power for personal gain. However, Johnson ignored this advice and proceeded to make the request to Scotland’s Sec. of State. Johnson's deputy flagged this discussion to the State Dept, and the deputy was forced out of his role months later.

1883 Magazine continues to tease their Louis feature; another gorgeous picture and a little quote, "I’m really excited to get this record out and get back on the road". (Hmm, says you, I wonder if this picture is also available as a poster? Why yes! Yes it is!) Meanwhile, Louis' friend and photographer Jordan Green is being celebrated as MVP of the day, thank you for your service pal. He starts by posting him and mostly unseen buddies day drinking casamigos tequila, a brand promoted by and heavily associated with Harry, thanks for the post of just the bottle so we know about that, then two videos of a night out where Louis' voice can be heard being loud loud loud at the club. So that's Louis still in LA, cool. Then he rounds it out by going to check out where one of the 1883 interviewers posted the Louis pic to their instagram and while he's there, scrolls down a ways to a picture of Harry and likes it, nice.

Some Discourse about a tweet about Louis not being able to get into Mark Ronson's after-party at Glastonbury so FINE I guess I'll talk about it- the question, does this mean he's a B-list celeb or that Ronson has it in for him/it's industry political- seems to me it means the event was at capacity and he didn't feel like waiting around for someone to leave! (Or like throwing his weight around.) Like seriously, in my opinion there's no story here. As the tweeter herself (a music photographer with a not zero number of connections one assumes) said, "it's not who you know."

The question of whether the boys would acknowledge the suddenly popular aged up pics of them was answered by, of course, Niall, who reposted Lewis Capaldi's post of them two as old men. Lewis comments that he looks like Paul McCartney if he was ill and he's... not wrong tbh. Not sure who Niall looks like but it's weird, it's a no thank you from me. Do not like. But non time traveler Niall is still young and healthy and enjoying, you guessed it, some golf! He's out there at the golf thing (ugh fine the British Open), doing golf stuff, hanging out with other golf people in golf clothes but also there's a cute interview with him! I mean fair warning, he is talking about golf, but still! They talk about him caddying for Rory McElroy without mentioning him falling over, I'm sure he appreciated that, and he says that Irish band (and Niall favorites) Wild Youth are going to play at the golf tournament that Modest Golf are putting on in Aug did we know that? It was news to me.

And finally, I said something that didn't make sense and confused people yesterday cause I'm a scattered mess, what's new, sorry about that; the Liam/Stella Maxwell thing is unlikely to be music related. I blame Harry for sucking up all my mental bandwidth yesterday, that guy needs to slow down (or well I guess he already did hmm uh thanks I guess?) Anyway: (baby Zayn voice) whoopseh daisy! I wanna do a nice Liam focused segment to make it up to him but uh he didn't really do anything? Sorry pal: raincheck?
