So I guess I'm giving up Tumblr for New Years, and not willingly. Just until February 2, when Sherlock is done showing over here in the US. I don't want any spoilers!

Only problem is, now I have to figure out what to do with my life for a whole month.

An American's Dilemma

For the first time ever, PBS is actually airing a Christmas Special - Call the Midwife...but it's not until the 29th! Do I download it this afternoon after it airs in the UK....or do I wait until the 29th so I can enjoy it on the big tv, but knowing I will probably be unable to resist reading about what happened??? I will definitely be downloading the Downton Abbey special since I've seen all of S4 and PBS won't air it until after S4 ends in March.

Can somebody explain to me why two days after I start watching Downton Abbey, I suddenly see it everywhere? I mean, it would be normal if this was, say, Great Britain. But this is America. 98% of Americans don't even know what an Abbey is, and yet I found no less than three books about the series at Barnes & Noble. I don't get it. But now I really want to finish the second series, though I've heard unsavory spoilers about the Christmas episode. Gahh, why do I do this to myself?
