Uh, wasn't that Brit Award the one Little Mix won? But it went to Harry last minute? Because I remember they were winning and when the voting closed the girls were #1 on Brits' website. (Harry was #2) And Billboard announced them as winners, Touch was included in the winners playlist on Spotify as well. But SOTT won the award. Mixers were so angry and sad. The girls were sad too. (They did a "heist" themed performance next year at the Brits lol) I was a huge LM and Harry fan at that time and it made me dislike Harry for the first time. But if he and his team did that *twice*... Gross

Ok yes. I do remember that Little Mix was leading by a big margin going into the awards, but SOTT was announced the winner.

Only Liam went to the Brits in 2018 when he was nominated for British single and British video for Strip That Down. He just met Niall at one of the after parties afterwards.

Then I mention the Brits. Back in February, Gorillaz won best British group and, accepting the award, Albarn launched into a slurred plea for Britain not to be isolationist and cut off. (A new Gorillaz song, Humility, starts with the line “Calling the world from isolation”.) He himself was then cut off, but... “Can I make it clear?” he interrupts. “They put so much alcohol on those tables, and I didn’t really like the food — I don’t like mass catering, I’d rather just not eat. Which is fine if you then don’t try to say something that isn’t utterly banal. But it’s fine. Though my mum thought I’d had a bit too much to drink.” I wasn’t bringing up his speech to... “No,” he cuts in. “But it’s annoying. I’m just a normal person, and that’s what happens to a normal person.” Again, I only... “No, I’m really relaxed about it! But it’s all about headlines, always.” I repeat that my aim in raising his speech was that, ahead of him that night, a pack of younger pop stars had said nothing of substance, then he... “Idiots like me, you mean?” Not quite.
