saw SIX on broadway tonight. some observations:
•Keri has such a strong voice i was in disbelief the entire HOS. cried fat tears. she is such a perfect Seymour. i cannot believe i got to witness that talent upclose. definitely the mom friend Seymour. she was so cheesy when it came to the signature Seymour mom jokes and was adorable.
•Joy is a ball of, well, joy. she just radiates so much energy whether she's singing front and center or doing background vocals. the most incredible Parr and addition to the cast. she was crying during the begging of IDNYL and the pauses made me want to sob.
•Courtney was on for Howard tonight and was incredible. i didn't realize that she is such angry Howard. like it sent shivers down my spine when she started growling on some of those notes in AYWD. so much pent up anger, it was captivating.
•Britt was everything. she is everything. constantly had the audience laughing. she has such a way with the audience. she even had Andrea cracking up a few times where she doesn't normally.
•Andrea was back as Boleyn tonight after her vacation. you couldn't even tell she had been off for a while. she's just a ball of pure unhinged chaos and when she hit that high note at the end of DLYH i just about died.
•Adrianna's vocals were on point today. something about the way she does her tongue pop and says wimple ??? absolute perfection.
okay a few cute things i noticed:
after Keri!Seymour yells at Courtney!Howard about how no one cared about her, Britt!Cleves gets Keri!Seymour's attention and acts like a disappointed mom and finger wags her to stand in front her (like a mother would beckon her child to come to her after they do something naughty) Britt!Cleves then quietly tells her off and Keri!Seymour looks at the floor in embarrassment.
when Joy!Parr finished the IDNYL remix and they're all posing, Keri!Seymour gave Joy!Parr a little tap on her peplum and gave her the sweetest and most biggest smile.
when Andrea!Boleyn, Adrianna!Aragon, and Keri!Seymour are all standing together after get down and Andrea!Boleyn tells off Keri!Seymour, they both look at each other and apologize. i could actually make out Andrea!Boleyn saying "it's fine" to Keri!Seymour and they rubbed each other's arm. it's was the cutest thing ever.
