Last night hubs and I had an incredible evening at Brix & Ale located inside @sheratongtx . The term ‘brix’ (a term used to reference sugar content in wine) and ‘ale’ (type of beer) are a theme you will find intertwined throughout the current #fall seasonal menu. Executive Chef Robert Felios III is relatively new to #BrixAndAle and exudes passion and innovation in everything within his reach. In the spring he even began beekeeping on the property to harvest his own honey and honeycomb. Scott and I got to taste the honey last night and the flavor was floral and less sweet compared to store grade honey in where bees are fed sugar water to produce at a controlled rate and volume. Chef Felios next plans to plant wildflowers to provide an accessible fresh pollen source for his bees. . Scott and I sipped craft cocktails, wine and worked our way through the menu and the flavor of each course exceeded our expectations.
