one of my favorite projects I’ve been a part of lately was #projectglamburger with @blacksbbqaustin and @fanoflamb . our initial mission was to create our own lamb burger at home and submit our recipes. you may remember from my stories (we couldn’t decide between the our Spanish lamb burger and our Tex Mex burger and then you all were a 50/50 vote split!). once all the recipes were submitted, we attended a workshop in which 4th generation of @blacksbbq presented us with different burger components and combinations and we gave feedback. now the burger is finalized and YOU can give it a try! The ‘Smokey, Sweet and Spicy, American Lamb Baaaa-B-Q Burger’ is on the menu every WEDNESDAY for the remainder of 2019 (with the exception of the day before #thanksgiving ). This burger is the only patty I have ever seen with a beautiful smoke ring...you’ve got to go and try it! . If you designed a new burger, what would you make???? Where are my lactose intolerant peeps? 🙋🏻♀️ Literally for 10 years now I’ve tried to avoid dairy because it makes my tummy feel yucky and my face breakout (ewww). . Last night hubs and I had an incredible evening at Brix & Ale located inside @sheratongtx . The term ‘brix’ (a term used to reference sugar content in wine) and ‘ale’ (type of beer) are a theme you will find intertwined throughout the current #fall seasonal menu. Executive Chef Robert Felios III is relatively new to #BrixAndAle and exudes passion and innovation in everything within his reach. In the spring he even began beekeeping on the property to harvest his own honey and honeycomb. Scott and I got to taste the honey last night and the flavor was floral and less sweet compared to store grade honey in where bees are fed sugar water to produce at a controlled rate and volume. Chef Felios next plans to plant wildflowers to provide an accessible fresh pollen source for his bees. . Scott and I sipped craft cocktails, wine and worked our way through the menu and the flavor of each course exceeded our expectations. What do you look forward to the most when you wake up on Monday mornings? For me, I look forward to playing unapologetically with Max. The weekends are busy and my attention is consumed by SO much, but on Mondays when hubby goes to work and Olivia goes to school... we PLAY! 🖤 .
