So I've been having some random WALL-E thoughts lately...
Like, WALL-E freed an entire ward of like, what, 50+ malfunctioning robots that paraded him around, but only seven joined the final fight??? Like, I get that maybe Pixar didn't want to have a whole crowd of robots to clutter up scenes and such, but like, I've always been curious as to why those specific seven. Maybe they were more marketable or something...?
But like, also in the scene where they all parade WALL-E until they're halted by the stewards, those seven manage to escape after EVE accidentally gets her picture taken as she re-attaches her gun. Like, they escaped together during the ordeal and later when WALL-E plays "Put on Your Sunday Clothes" at the request of VN-GO, it's those seven that assembled together out of all the rest to join WALL-E, EVE, and M-O. I smell a lot of lore potential here; of the 50+ robots in that ward, it's clear these seven are pretty close-knit. To add on to this, in the Heavy Iron Studio version of the WALL-E video game, one of the side quests is to rescue the seven reject bots.
...I do think that the tennis-bot and the golf-bot could've joined in the fun of taking down the stewards. Also, L-T didn't really do much but follow the group. Maybe there could've been a scene where they all get stuck in a dark space and L-T lights the way?
Though in the Asobo Studio version of the WALL-E game, L-T can be summoned to light up dark spaces, so at least that droid does something there...
