A year ago, my friend Fred gave me this broad axe. At the time, it was super rusty and I could tell it had been used by him for decades. He gave it to me as a gift since I expressed an interest in restoring something like this to use for bridge building. Last week, my friend Fred lost his fight with cancer at the age of 82.
