Black History Month Celebrates Brandy @4EverBrandy. She was the first black actor to be in a horror film & survive the entire movie. Groundbreaking since throughout the years we didn't make it past opening credits. She paved the way for Black actors & actresses to have a more prominent role other than being stabbed at the theater or goin to look outside to see what that noise was. It’s rather difficult to preface this post, as this indoor season has been some of the most tumultuous, yet rewarding times of my life. I would certainly not be the first to admit that there were quite a few ups and downs along this journey with which we’ve traversed, but I can say with confidence that contrary to what T.S Eliot may claim, we went out with a bang, not a whimper. Thank you to any and all affiliated with my musical upbringing; techs, parents, past techs, past fellow members, and especially the current members of the Carmel High School indoor percussion program. I owe you everything, you owe me absolutely nothing.
