“Happy American Valentines Day.”
“You do know there is only one, don’t you?” Jiaying asked taking the offered flowers into her arms.

Daisy laughed as she tried to grab hold of the door frame but slipped in her socks and fell on to her ass. “Uhmm... Not far it would seem...”
Broken Family
Skye had let him, watched him take Jiayang- her mother and kill her, he killed the woman he loved more than life for the daughter he loved, so she didn’t have to be the one to do it. Now they sat together in a little room inside the carrier. She didn’t know what to say, but she had to say something.
“...Dad..I’m so sorry this had to happen...”
Doctor w/o Borders
As time went on medicine moved forward and Jiaying’s skills became outdated. She took breaks from her work every now and then to learn what new things humans had discovered about medicine. Healing was her passion so when word came round that a man from America was coming, a doctor who had trained there, Jiaying was excited at the opportunity to learn.
She went with many of the village elders to greet him when he arrived. She knew his time here was short but she intended to learn all she could.
One Night in Afterlife
Daisy had gone to bed hours ago after a lovely dinner that was so close to right it echoed in Jiaying’s chest where love should be but only echos remained. Family, her baby, all the pieces were there, except herself. She wanted it so badly it hurt, which was why Cal had to go. She might have been able to convince the community it was better if he stayed, there were many reason it would be, they could only keep an eye on him here and keep him from making too much noise. But no... Cal had to go, because if he stayed she wouldn’t be able to play that everything was alright, not forever. The heart that Jiaying had once given him would break if she did to him what would be done, so for that he must go. Still there was one more thing she could give him, one more parting gift.
Jiaying wrapped on the door of Cal’s bed chamber, which was locked from the outside so it was up to her to open the door but she wanted to make him feel like he had the opportunity to turn her away, though she knew he never would. He twisted himself into a monster for his love of what was, he would do anything she asked.
