It was just one of those days. It seemed like no matter what happened, it went from bad to worse. Days like this reminded him that he still had crappy luck. Sure the super soldier made his life a bit easier, but he still had a terrible time with luck. This included simple things like socializing and dealing with women. No wonder he was doomed to be forever alone.
Steve had made an emergency stop at the store to pick up a few things. He did need to eat. He’d do some hardcore shopping on his next day off, but right now he was just worried about getting home and being done with this terrible day. Steve was walking back to his apartment when it unexpectedly started to torrential downpour. He certainly picked the wrong day to not carry an umbrella. In a matter of minutes the soldiers was soaked from head to toe.
He mumbled under his breath as he shivered from the cold. The sooner he got back to his apartment, the better. He was walking, when he noticed a woman struggling with her dog. The pup had gotten loose from it’s collar and the woman was frantically screaming as it ran into the road. Steve knew he couldn’t just stand there. He needed to do something Steve immediately dropped his bags and ran into the street after the dog. He knew it was probably stupid and he could hurt himself, but it would help him sleep better at night. The impending car was blowing it’s horn at the Captain as he stopped in the road to pick the dog up. The car was breaking and thanks to his super strength he was able to stop the car, from hitting him.
Steve took a moment to regain his composure and his breath before walking over to the woman to hand her his dog. “Ma’am, I believe this belongs to you.” he told her with a smile. It was at that moment he realized he had found his soulmate, somebody who’s happiness you would risk your life for.
