3 years I found your sister, and you. I found your both abandoned in the bushes, eyes closed, umbilical cord still attached, crying. Your sister didn't make it, you did. 72 hours ago you went missing. 48 hours ago against all odds even with a broken radius/ulna, dislocated shoulder, lacerations, and puncture wounds, you rallied the strength to crawl back home and collapsed before the front door. 48 hours ago I was in Denver. 31 hours ago I caught the first flight back to LA. Others would say you're just a cat. Others would say the surgery was just too expensive. Others would just put you to sleep. Others are fucking filth. I'm not like the others. I understand every life is precious, and deserves a chance (except Hitler). I've worked hard through both legitimate and illegitimate channels to become financially secure and care for you, my mother, and myself. You will have your chance. You will have your surgery.
