⟢ he's such a loverboy and i STAND by that wholeheartedly like he genuinely doesn't know how to act normal when he's in love. he'll find any excuse to be around you too, whether it's sitting next to you while you're doing homework or following you into another room because apparently he "needed something" even though he forgot what it was the second he saw you
⟢ very much golden retriever energy too. like he could be the tallest person in the room and somehow still have the energy of an excited puppy whenever he's around you. he gets visibly happier when you walk in and immediately wants to tell you something that happened or show you whatever he's been working on like he physically cannot keep anything to himself when he's excited
⟢ i feel like martin would have a bunch of pet names for you and switch between them depending on his mood... this might be biased of me BUT ma, princess, bae are definitely the ones i can see him using the most, but none of them would feel overly forced or like he'd announce them dramatically. they just kind of slip out when he's talking to you
⟢ you two would have such a stupid relationship. like constantly teasing each other, stealing each other's stuff just to be annoying, making faces from across the room, whispering comments during movies just to make the other laugh. nothing is ever that serious for more than five minutes
⟢ and because he's apparently so quick with memes and trends, the second he sees something that reminds him of you, you're getting it sent to your phone. sometimes it's actually funny and sometimes it's so stupid that you're just staring at the screen like "why did you send me this"
⟢ he's probably the type to randomly call you too just because he wants to hear your voice. he'll be like "what are you doing?" and you'll say "nothing" and somehow you're still talking an hour later about the most random things
⟢ the boyfriend who randomly buys you little things because they reminded him of you. your favorite snack, a plushie, a keychain, something in your favorite color. nothing expensive or crazy, he just sees something and immediately thinks "she'd like this"
⟢ i don't think he's super overprotective or anything, but he'd definitely be quietly protective. like texting to make sure you got home, waiting until you get inside before leaving, checking in if he knows you're somewhere unfamiliar. he wouldn't make a huge deal about it, he just does it
⟢ his kindness would probably show the most when you're actually upset with each other. i can't see him being someone who gets angry and starts saying things he doesn't mean, especially since people have described him as someone who rarely shows his anger. he'd probably need a second to collect his thoughts, then actually try to talk it out
⟢ he'd hate knowing you're going to bed upset with him too

⟢ and that's probably the point where you both end up talking everything out even though you were both being stubborn five minutes ago
⟢ being the tallest person in the relationship would never stop being funny. like he genuinely wouldn't understand how ridiculous 6’4 looks next to you until you're standing there trying to reach something and he's just looking down at you

⟢ i feel like he'd be a really loud boyfriend too, especially when he's comfortable. quiet dates probably wouldn't happen very often because even if you're both just sitting around he's finding something to talk about or shoving his stupid phone in your face like "look at this"
⟢ music would obviously become a huge part of your relationship. he'll send you songs when he doesn't know how to explain something, play music while you're together, or randomly start singing while he's doing something and eventually you don't even notice it anymore
⟢ and the studio would probably be one of your favorite places to be with him because you get to see a completely different side of him. he's still joking around with you, but once he's actually working on a beat or trying to write something, he gets so focused
⟢ he'll probably sit there for ten minutes listening to the same part over and over before going "nah, something's wrong" and starting again
⟢ if he's trying to write or rap something and gets stuck, he'll just lean back in his chair and stare at the screen for a while before suddenly going "wait" because he finally thought of something
⟢ and he'd love having you there even if you're not helping at all. like you could literally be sitting in the corner doing your own thing and he'd still rather have you there than be alone
⟢ he'd probably show you his drawings too, especially the random little doodles he makes. and eventually he'd start drawing stupid little things on your hand or in the margins of your notes because it's just something to do while he's talking to you
⟢ if you actually keep one of his drawings, he'll pretend he doesn't care but then randomly bring it up months later
and then he's trying not to smile
⟢ i feel like he'd rather make memories with you than constantly buy you things. picnics, concerts, random trips, getting food somewhere you've never been, watching the sunset, reading poetry together. he'd probably be down for almost anything if you're with him
⟢ and if he ever actually convinces you to go skydiving with him, you're absolutely getting a text beforehand like "don't worry i'm gonna be fine" while you're sitting there wondering why he willingly chose to jump out of a plane in the first place
⟢ he'd get so fucking soft when you remember little things about him too. his favorite color, his favorite cold drinks, the songs he likes, how much he loves summer sunsets. he'll probably tease you for remembering but you can tell it actually means a lot to him
⟢ honestly that's probably the biggest thing about dating him. he makes it really obvious that he likes having you around. not in some huge dramatic way, just through all the little things he does without thinking about them. he wants to tell you things, show you things, spend time with you, make you laugh, and have you around when he's doing the things he loves
⟢ he's just very "you're my person and therefore you are coming with me everywhere" coded
