Redtail x tigerstar x brokenstar or just Tigerstar x brokenstar
Broken x Tiger! I’ve done a lot of Redtail’s lately so i decided to stick to Broken x Tiger. I can’t decide whether i think their kit would be bad like Hawkfrost or a hero trying to redeem themselves (akin to young Bramblepaw)
How about BrokenTiger hypokits? Not a personal ship but I'm fascinated by it in concept
You even get two different stories for the price of one. Unlike most things I do, these two are mutually exclusive.
Thistlerush and Wolfhowl.
These two kits were born after Brokentail and Tigerclaw had met up once to discuss how they'd take over their respective clans, with possibility of assisting the other (aka take over their clan asap).
The two kits were very unwelcome in Tigerclaw's plans, but Brokentail wanted more cats in its clan to be more powerful (and even have some heirs!) So it took the two.
Thistlerush (she/it) is very angry very quickly. That's a shield she made at a very young age to deal with the (mild) judgment from the clan and especially Brokentail's harshness, but now it’s the only thing she has. It resents the Clan for being so mean and only looks up to Brokentail as the cat that will change ShadowClan and then the other clans for the better. World domination is a good thing for it because then why would cats from "different" clans fight if they're led by the same strong cat. It is very stuck in its mindset of changing the clans to make them better by killing everyone who doesn't want to cooperate and annexing all the clans under the banner of ShadowClan. When Brokenstar made her steal kits, it was for the betterment of the lives of these kits, when Brokey made them train early it was to defend ShadowClan from the barbaric clans, when it tasked her with killing cats it was because they were treasonous. Any disloyal cat needed to be punished. The end goal of bettering the clans was the one thing important to her. It’s very willing to bend the rules to attain its goals and will get its paws bloody when needed.
Wolfhowl (they/them) is quiet and withdrawn. They overthink a lot and definitely have kitty autism. They're always having doubts about the actions of Broken and Thistle because they break the rules a whole lot, and the rules and the status quo are very important to them yano. They want the Clans to be like they’ve always been. See how long they’ve lived like this, why would the Clans need to change? They often chicken out of doing deeds that could break the code in any way, like, stealing prey? no way. killing another cat? hope you have a good reason for that. They still do have issues with wanting to make Brokenstar proud of them, so they do anything it tells them to do, but Brokey still had doubts about their true loyalty.
When they got banished they were hurt because obviously they were going to be punished, they killed Raggedstar (this was after at least three called off attempts because Wolf cowarded out, but eventually Broken snapped and told Wolf to do it themselves or go die, Wolf actually killed Raggenstar themselves after that verbal (and physical) lashing) but having their parent do it was painful to watch. When Tigerclaw got into contact with them during their exile they were desperate for some positive attention and they discovered they had another dad that was ready to pay attention to them. They were thrilled and they were the one that got rogues ready for Tiger's plan to attack ThunderClan in an attempt to kill Bluestar. What they didn't expect though was that Tiger would also get Brokenstar's followers on the coup and thus they'd be reunited with Thistlerush.
when Brokenstar was ousted Thistlerush obviously followed it. It was the cat that would change the clans. The beacon of light in this dark world, she was going to stay loyal to it until the bitter end. And bitter it was as she saw Broken be captured by ThunderClan and couldn't help it escape. At least until Tigerclaw asked her and the rest of Broken's followers to assist him in a coup. Tiger assured Thistle that not only would Tiger help to save Broken and reinstate it as ShadowClan's true leader, but he would help it in its plans for the betterment of the Clans. It believed him and now it was time to fight ThunderClan. There it got reunited with its sibling! And she also saw a couple of kits unattended and whilst the rest of the group had to flee, it grabbed the two kits. They'd grow up in a better place, or at least they'd be good bargaining chips.
Wolfhowl found Thistlerush with the two little kits. They were very surprised by that, but tried to comfort the kits while Thistle explained what had happened. Wolf learnt Thistle doesn’t know about Tigerclaw, but honestly kinda feared telling her. The two stayed with the rest of Tiger’s group while Wolf tried to calm the kits. They were quite surprised by how much one of the kits looked like Tigerclaw and suspected that maybe they were his kits.
When the cats finally found Tigerclaw again he was in a bad shape. Wolf fretted over him too as they tried to keep the two little kits safe. WHen Tigerclaw saw he kits he wanted to know who had brought them here. Thistle said she did and Tiger praised her for doing so. When Tiger was somewhat moderately in a better shape (thanks kind rogue with medicinal knowledge Wolf had found), he gave his followers a rallying speech to motivate them to keep on going. He had seen that Brokenstar had been killed, but he vowed to continue its plan to bring all the clans together for himself to let them live in an age of peace and stability.
First things first all the cats needed to become stronger and then they would try to find a way to continue their plan further. Wolf wasn’t very sure about how being outcasts after having attempted a coup was a good thing because it’s breaking so many rules from the code, but they were definitely not going to say anything out loud. They simply tried to care for Bramblekit and Tawnykit as best they could. Thistle on the other hand was very hyped about everything. Tigerclaw seemed like a cat that had even more ambition to fulfill these plans. It was still very loyal to Brokenstar and was terribly saddened by its death, but Tiger had ambition, Tiger had power, Tiger had a drive and cunning to do what was needed. Tiger was actually going to get the Clans to that dreamed place where all the cats would be loyal to each other.
The first thing on the to-do list was to get back in the clans, because outsiders stinky, they have to be within the clans and make them better. Luckily ShadowClan was having troubles with the carrion sickness and Tiger could use his followers to gain their good graces, even using the ex-shadowclan ones as cats that wanted to repent for their misdeeds. ShadowClan slowly began to trust Tiger and his crew until the one fateful night where Nightstar died. ShadowClan was in a mess, but a sign made everything clear. One claw cast a shadow that combined with the branches of a tree made the ground look like a tiger’s pelt. Tigerclaw was named the next ShadowClan leader and made Thistlerush deputy. A few cats were a bit curious as to why Thistle walked a bit awkwardly for a while, but they didn’t dare to question it. Wolfhowl was definitely worried, but couldn’t ask anything as Thistle was too busy being with Tiger all the time. They were there too, alongside Bramble and Tawny, who had been made apprentices once they had reached six moons of age, but neither of these three really had anything to say.
When Tigerstar was comfortably settled in ShadowClan, having dealt with any opposition to his leadership he turned his eyes to RiverClan. Their new leader, Leopardstar, was someone that Tigerstar knew would be interested in having more power. Wolf and Thistle weren’t good diplomats so obviously Tiger got Leopard on his side himself. He was right though that she was a cunning and power-hungry cat and he got her very easily on his side. RiverClan and ShadowClan combined, TigerClan got formed. Tiger kept a few cats in River to keep things in check and it was Wolfhowl pretty often, obviously they didn’t go alone, but they were sent to River the most compared to all the other cats. Those other cats (esp Jaggedtooth and the likes) were often at least mildly bullying RiverClan cats and it was expected that Wolf would do the same. Wolf kinda did, but never liked it, they never liked any of this and kept feeling guilty for still keeping on following Tiger, but coward as they are, they never did anything too big to rebel.
After RiverClan Tigerstar had even bigger plans: get WindClan on his side. A conquest like Brokenstar did would Not be good pr, but Tigerstar is a very smooth talker. He came to visit WindClan a few times and did his best to convince Tallstar that working together would be for the best. WindClan was dealing with a mild prey crisis due to a huge lack of rabbits on the moorlands. (did the visits from ShadowClan have anything to do with it? we may never know). Tiger offered to help Wind with prey and he used this as an example, this cooperation and care, of how things could be if the clans were all under the same banner. After a moon and a bit of trying very hard, some quicktime fox events that were very unexpected and a lot of prey donated, Tallstar eventually relented. Now TigerClan had three clans under its banner.
Now to make TigerClan great all traitors must be taken care of. The Halfclan cats, outsiders, and cats that have too close ties to ThunderClan were separated from the rest. At first they were just treated poorly, but after the event of Mistyfoot and Stonefur being outed as Halfclans themselves (Tiger got both River and Wind to his side before Bluestar’s death in this AU), he decides it’s too much. He tasks Thistlerush with herding all the traitors together and forcing them in a prison where they would never see the light of day again, unless it’s to die. Mistyfoot, her kits, Stonefur, Graystripe’s kits, Onewhisker, Deerfoot, and little Gorsepaw were taken prisoner. Thistlerush has the job of beating anyone who says bad things and make sure they regret being disloyal to TigerClan. She even threatened Wolfhowl once. This was still forgivable for them, but when they saw how Thistle hurt Tawnypaw when she sneakily tried to bring food to the prisoners they were done.
Wolf couldn’t save the prisoners or even get other cats out without causing trouble, but they didn’t have any connections left, so them leaving wouldn’t negatively affect any other cat. They needed to stop this, they Had to DO something. They left the River camp one cloudy night. Most cats would be asleep or busy somewhere else than on the little path they had found. It led to the barn close to RiverClan’s territory, and from there they headed to ThunderClan. It was a long trek and they weren’t even welcome, being an ex-ShadowClan exile that worked with Tigerstar and all that. They still tried their best to convince Firestar to help. Firestar didn’t really trust them.
Wolfhowl got the idea of helping the prisoners escape as a way to prove they weren’t on the side of Tigerstar. Wolfhowl offered to go alone first, but Graystripe wanted to come too and Firestar relented and came with them aswell. On the way they picked up Ravenpaw and now it was time for an escape mission. The four cats infiltrated the River camp, that was where the prisoners were kept. Wolf had barely left the day prior and Tiger was still angry and decided it was the fault of the traitors. He commanded Stonefur, Featherpaw and Stormpaw to be brought, Tiger told Stone to kill the apprentices, but he refused to. This time he didn’t command Darkstripe to kill Stonefur, he immediately had Thistlerush doing it. She leapt for him with rage unmatched by any other cat, but Stonefur was smarter and faster, even in the bad state he was in and avoided her claws very nimbly. She attacked again, but Stonefur riposted. As it landed on the ground, Tigerstar’s followers jeered at its weakness and Tigerstar himself commented on how it could get bested by a weakened halfclan. This made Thistlerush Enraged and she lunged for Stonefur again. This time she was faster and grabbed Stonefur. Its teeth sunk deep in his throat and it shook him around like prey while he desperately tried to fight back. As Stonefur finally stopped fighting back, it dropped him. Featherpaw and Stormpaw were brought back to their prison and that was the moment to get them out!
Ravenpaw got the guard to go away (by like in canon pretending to be a clancat that said Tiger wanted to see the guard). Then Wolfhowl, Firestar and Graystripe entered the prison. They found all the cats there. Gorsepaw had a bad wound on his face, but for the rest they were all just starved and dirty. They all left the prison. They managed to nearly leave the territory when TigerClanners found out about the prisoners. Wolfhowl was carrying Gorsepaw and Reedpaw, so they couldn’t help in the fight, but Deerfoot, Graystripe and Onewhisker, who were in the back, began fighting with the TigerClan cats. Graystripe got out in a blaze of glory, mauling at least two very loyal warriors before being taken down. Onewhisker and Deerfoot told the rest to run.
None of the cats wanted to, Firestar was devastated to have lost Graystripe and Wolfhowl didn’t want to abandon anyone, but they had no choice if they wanted anyone to survive this mess. Luckily a patrol of ThunderClan cats intervened to finish the brawl, but all three cats were dead. Four courageous cats had been lost that day and while they couldn’t bury Stonefur, they’d honor him alongside the other cats that had given their lives to save the prisoners. All the surviving cats were brought to thunderClan to rest up. Firestar definitely trusted Wolfhowl after this, but all the cats were mourning.
Then it was time for the final battle. All the cats grouped at fourtrees to end this once and for all. The fight began and it was a huge mess. ThunderClan was at a huge disadvantage, but many cats from TigerClan did not want to fight that hard. Wolfhowl tried to convince cats not to fight anymore, and it did work a bit. Bramblepaw and Tawnypaw especially listened to them and fled to ThunderClan camp to be safe. The fight didn’t stop there though and ThunderClan was beginning to be at a serious disadvantage. Many cats had already fled and a good few were dead, but then Tigerstar stood in front of Firestar. Tiger was taunting the ThunderClan leader, but Fire did his best to draw everyone’s attention to their standoff as Fire meticulously explained all the crimes and horrible actions Tiger had done (everything that he does in canon from Redtail to the execution of Stonefur also happened here). Tigerstar became enraged and tried to attack Firestar as he had arrived to Bluestar’s death and the dogs, but Sandstorm and Mistyfoot stopped him. They pinned Tiger to the ground and let Fire finish before somehow killing Tiger 9 times. (when you don’t have Scourge it’s not that easy, huh)
Most cats were horrified at the discovery. They truly believed Tiger was trying to lead them all to safety and stability, but it was all just his dreams of personal grandeur. Most cats abandoned TigerClan after this and joined with the forces of ThunderClan. The final battle was Thistle and the last followers (that were nearly exclusively clancats that agreed with the ideal of one powerful clan, the others be damned, not the peaceful and perfect all the clans live in harmony thing) versus Thunder and co. It was a massacre, so many intrafamilial conflicts happened. The biggest one was Wolfhowl.
Wolfhowl saw everything Thistlerush was doing and was tired. They confronted Thistle, but she still wouldn’t budge. It even attacked them and a vicious fight began. Wolf is slightly bigger than Thistle, but Thistle is a ferocious fighter that has spent so much time honing its skills. They kept exchanging blows until Thistlerush dropped. Wolf stared at the body of their sibling and wondered where things went wrong before falling too.
The battle was done after that, the Clans had to understand how destructive this feud had been. Bramblepaw and Tawnypaw went to mourn their dead sibling. Firestar rallied all the surviving cats together. They’d have to build the clans back up, but this time things would be different.
The Beast.
Very few cats have been able to see this being in the dark forest and come back alive to tell about it. It is as tall as a Monster and looks at you with its big eyes that emit some kind of light, but which color it is, is hard to determine. Most cats that see it stop moving from fear and that's when it gets you. It opens its gaping maw filled with innumerable teeth or stings you with its poisonous tail. It seems to always be hungry and will devour anything unlucky enough to meet its path. It is rumored that this beast is the embodiment of the wrath of two violent outcasts of the stars. It seems to want to eat those same stars because of that
Be wary of weird sounds in the foggy forest, it might be on the hunt for more souls to feast on.
What are your thoughts on BrokenTiger? I'd love to hear your thoughts and opinions
Hmm... Honestly never thought about it before, but it could work, in a way?
Though if they were a thing, it wouldn't be too healthy for either of them (obviously)
I feel like Brokenstar and Tigerstar feel like they're better than everyone else and that they deserve everything for themselves individually. Finding that only those who are useful to them matter, but still feeling like "the adult of the group", everyone is pretty much under them.
It could work great if we went really far and said "Two evil kings rulling together!!" them being partners in crime is fine as a concept but,
the only reason they accepted eachother when Broken plotted with Tiger, was only a transaction, Tiger wanted Bluestar dead, and Broken wanted to get out of Thunderclan territory (and get back to Shadowclan)
And not that it's a bad thing, just looking at their overall behavior doesn't make their chances in staying together high - You absolutely shouldn't date yourself, basically.
If they were to be together, they'd kind of act like an old married couple, probably arguing and a lot of backstabbing.
But either way, I think it's a cool ship, it has a good idea, but it would not be long term, especially while looking at Tiger's loyalty to his other mates.
