How did Thunderclanners react towards Squirrel's actions regarding her mother's death? And how did Goldenflower view the various strays that Firepaw/Fireheart/Firestar brought in over his time in Thunderclan?

The fact that Squirrelkit barely reacted to her mother dying disturbed a few folks, but the knowledge about where she came from sort of settled that. Like a, "Well, yeah, she was born into death, I guess she would take it pretty well."

Goldenflower in particular never quite liked Brick, nor did Yellowfang try to cozy up to her, but she does like Barley and Squirrel, so it could have been worse! Those elders weren't much of a threat, either.

didn't consider until now how bluestar being her mentor's sister might complicate goldenflower's feelings on that whole tragedy. oof

Goldenflower regrets resenting Bluestar as much as she did for so long. Her mentor being related didn't protect her from that anger, unfortunately, but I'm sure it's on her mind here and there nowadays.

ngl the fandom's portrayal of goldenflower is honestly so sexist and it pisses me off so bad. my girl did not bring her children up the best she could while protecting them for you guys to portray her as an uwu submissive victim ex-wife. girl they weren't even implied to have anything but a physical relationship. can we stop assuming women's lives revolve entirely around men they arent even that close with.
