Reduce bounce rate with broken video notifications
Videos get removed all the time from YouTube. When you embed lots of them across your site, it is impossible to keep track of which ones still work. Obviously when you embed a video it will work, but will it continue to work after one week? month? year? On the other hand, the page in which you have embedded the video on will continue to exist after a year, and it will continue receiving traffic from search engines and social media.
So when a user lands on your page to watch a video and the video does not work, it’s a horrible experience that will lead to the user bouncing and leaving your site.
With reEmbed you can be on top of all your embedded videos, and stay informed regarding their status for free. Once a video is no longer able to play, you will receive an alert about it in your dashboard. reEmbed lets you know which video no longer works, why it couldn’t be played, which page on your site includes it, and even suggests possible replacements.
Video embeds stop working for a number of reasons. These include:
deleted by user
embedding disabled
copyright violation
geo-restrictions
reEmbed will let you know the reason users are not able to watch the video, and will also provide you with the number of users that are experiencing the problem, so you can assess the urgency for replacing it.
