"I'll take what I can get as long as it ranks me high up in your list of doppelgangers." Annie grinned, bouncing on her heels as she spoke to him. "Since there's three of us, I feel as though I need to aim high and since we just met... Thought I should at least try and make a good first impression."

She'd heard about the Salvatore brothers from the various town gossips, but this was the first chance she'd had to actually run into one of them and luckily for her, seems like she ran into the fun one.

Tom's relationship with his brother was. . .complicated. There was a decent age gap between them, and Damon wasn't around much--Tom couldn't even remember their parents talking about him--and Uncle Zach had never cared for him, either. But in spite of all that. . .Tom loved him. Because Damon was still his big brother.

Even when Damon did things like show up at the house unexpectedly and scare the crap outta him. "You know, there's this great invention called a phone. You might've heard of it, Damon? It lets you talk to people from far away," Tom laughed, once his heart stopped racing. "What are you even doing here?"

her debut appearance at the salvatore boarding house was burning white hot with suspense  — the victorian furnishing and grand walls reflecting the lives that once lived inside it dark and brooding. truthfully, katherine had been avoiding damon since her arrival back to mystic falls; which was still as tacky as she last remembered. damon was this really needy thing, even if he’s adopted this new bad boy persona. yeah, she’s heard about him through the years; even checked in on him. oh, and dramatic, even for her tastes —  she can still see him, young and wide eyed, ogling over her. though it was thrilling to be so adored, and a part of her really did love him. even with that considered, in a way she might’ve owed him after pretending to be everyone’s new favorite doppelganger.

her gaze is warm for all the wrong reasons, “it’s stefan. it’s always been stefan,” she’s already searching for the heartbreak in him. all guarded and seasoned with years and years of loss.. honestly, it was kind of hot.
