Documentary Head Micheal Brockhoff's Closing Bronycon Speech
0 crew members, 10 cameras, a lot of hard work and long hours and it was all worth it. BronyCon was one of the most amazing experiences of my personal and professional life. I can't thank you enough for your support of this film. Before this weekend when people used to ask me who Bronies are, I didn't really know how to properly answer. Now I would describe Bronies as genuine, kind, dedicated, smart and loving. A true community of people who share not only the love of MLP, but also embrace and live the values of the show. I'm really excited about the stories and footage we've captured. Next step is weeks of logging footage, transcribing and preparing to edit. We're also making plans to film GalaCon and BUCK. I will post updates as the process continues. Best, Michael Brockhoff
Bronycon Summary
I didn't know so many cool things could happen in one weekend.
I bought awesome pony art, saw the VAs act silly (including Tara Strong dancing while slightly intoxicated), watched the new Friendship is Witchcraft, and saw some of the great fan artists (in Vendor Hall) and musicians (at Ponypalooza) on Saturday.
Then on Sunday I sang with LivingTombstone (he came up to us during the fire evacuation), brohoofed John de Lancie, got wished a happy Canada Day by Andrea Libman, and was one of the last people to get an autograph from our great queen Lauren Faust. These are experiences that I never even knew were possible, and it wouldn't have happened without Bronycon.
I was so pumped the whole weekend I didn't notice the sleep deprivation until I got home and slept for 16 hours straight, though I suppose having to get up at 4AM to catch my flight from LaGuardia contributed to that a bit...
