So 1 year ago today was the day I went to Bronycon and looking back it still is one of my favorite memories
It was a place felt comfortable in for the first time in years since i moved to a new town 8 years before and just graduating high school. Yes, the whole morning/commute their I was a nervous wreck. Like what if something went wrong and I missed everything, or what if the friends I made online didnt like me in real life? But to be honest, the following few hours were worth it.
I got to meet so many people like Rai, Ahmedz, Shimmer, Roolo, Sorin', Laura and so many people I, a somewhat new & very unheard of tumblr user, got to hang out with and meet/chill. And lets not forget getting to have dinner/hang out with Mocha, 7nights, Cardi and Gabby. I never had such a fun & interesting meal ever. I still talk about it to people.
Now a year later and a month away from traveling out of state on my own to the next Bronycon, Im counting down the minutes left until I get to see my old friends again, and even new ones that I have made along the way. I worked long weekends in fast food and saved up from holidays and a birthday to go down and I know it will be even better then last.
I taking a train down with a bunch of awesome people and rooming with 3 really cool dudes. Itll be my first time riding a train out of state and that is not a commuter one either as well as staying and paying in a hotel without family. Yea, Im nervous but what the heck, life is short and you need to be nervous about things.
Their are so many people I cant wait to meet for the first time like Amanda, Dream, Sally, my roommates, Chocolate Pony, and hopefully a few more that are on the fence at this point and many more people as well.
