Our Kamakshi bronze oil lamps are over 150 years old. They have been used in home temples for centuries and are burned as votives during the Festival of Diwali. The goddess Kamakshi is featured here with two elephants on both front and back. This lamp was made in Tamil Nadu, India by the lost wax method. It has some verdigris. To light the lamp, pour oil into the basin and use a cotton wick. It's a beautiful sight. A votive candle works perfectly if you prefer. Set this on a table or altar, in your yoga room, or beside your bed. The blessing of the light is always welcome. Listing is for one lamp.
