Actually, I have this pseudo-uncle named Harlan. He’s this big walrus of a man with with a grey mustache and this kinda of gravely, booming voice. When I was about 14 my uncle Harlan looked me dead in the eye, let out a deep breath that sounded closer to a snore, and said to me “nuthin’ in the veins, kid.”
I think I’ve done pretty well to live by that advice.
