She'd heard the cannon earlier that day, but Jim never expected for it to be Dara's stoic face staring down at her from the night sky. She was shaken; she'd thought that out of any of them Dara was one of the strongest in the arena. It's why Jim chose her as an ally. But for her to be taken down already. Jim felt a twinge of regret. She hoped that it wasn't one of her own poisonberry traps that got her in the end. At least this was just one more person Jim wouldn't have to face later.

Dara winced slightly as Kang’s cool fingers touched her skin but forced herself to relax. He was someone she could trust, and she didn’t have to be afraid of his touch.
