Owl Cave feminist book swap | White Cubicle | PSLondon social
Thursday 3rd November, 6.30-9.00pm
London Centre for Book Arts, Unit 18, Ground Floor Britannia Works, 56 Dace Road, London, E3 2NQ
Join us for drinks at London Centre for Book Arts to welcome our San Francisco friends, artist run bookshop and independent press distributor, OWL CAVE and their feminist book swap back to London. Viniita Moran's feminist book swap began at Marvin Gaye Chetwynd's Helmut Newton Ladies Night at the Royal Academy in December 2008. Owl Cave are back in town with new stock and stories so pack a feminist book, essay, poem or zine you want to share and join in the swap! An offsite White Cubicle project showing some new work by Katie Horwich, will take over the toilet at LCBA for the evening and Publication Studio London will be selling books and posters! We're excited to add to the line up a short talk by Brooke Palmieri, organiser of the new book club 'Paranormal Feminisms' at Treadwells, on the occult ritual and mysterious art of printing. Brooke is a PhD student in history at the Centre for Editing Lives and Letters, London and editor of the American Printing History Association's journal, Printing History. Her research and teaching is dedicated to unearthing the radical potential of print and manuscript cultures. Free, open to everyone. Drinks and snacks will be served!
