Four years and two months after meeting Jorge, we eloped to Brooklyn City Hall. He’s made me laugh harder, love more fearlessly, and heal more fully than I could’ve hoped. Thanks to each of you for following-slash-cheering-me-on these past nine years: from confused widow to biological mom to new wife. Here’s to all the chapters that led me here...and to those ahead.

ANGELA + CHARLA: BRINGING TOGETHER TWO TRIBES (via ELIXHER)
Charla Harlow, 32, and Angela Harlow-Rothschild, 34, got hitched at the Weeksville Heritage Center in Brooklyn’s historic Weeksville neighborhood, one of the first free black communities in the U.S. They were married on May 28, 2016 on the grounds where some of the original homes built by the free black residents of Weeksville still remain.
