Hello everyone! I’m Jay! It’s nice to be here. I’m very excited to get to roleplay and develop plots with all of you and your lovely characters. Under the read more, you’ll find some information on Johnny!
Just to give you guys a bit of unneeded background information, Johnny as a character is inspired from a few different places. A large part of the inspiration for him comes from the song A Criminal Mind by Gowan, which you can find on my blog. All of his tags are lines directly from that song, and his last name is obviously inspired by the artist who wrote the song. Johnny was also inspired by heist films, in particular Reservoir Dogs and the Ocean’s Eleven movies.
In terms of biography, these are the important details:
- Johnny was abandoned by his mother when he was still a baby. She didn’t want to deal with the responsibility of having a child, so she ran away, leaving Johnny to be raised by his father, who was a career criminal.
- Johnny’s father was abusive and manipulative towards him. He forced Johnny to help him steal things, and took out his anger and frustration on him when things didn’t go right, by physically beating him, and verbally berating him.
-When Johnny was a teenager, he excelled in school, achieving top honors in his classes. His father realized this intelligence was something he could exploit, and began making Johnny formulate plans for crimes that were on a much larger scale than his father ever would have dared to try before; including heists. These larger scale crimes were very successful for the most part. However, whenever mistakes were made, Johnny’s father would still take it out on him. Nonetheless, Johnny found that he actually enjoyed planning these crimes.
- When Johnny was 18, one of his plans went terribly wrong, and it ended up resulting in his father serving a prison sentence for a year. When he finally got out of prison, he blamed Johnny for having to serve the sentence, and tried to take it out on him like he usually did, but Johnny shot, and killed him. This was the only time that Johnny has killed someone intentionally.
- Johnny went to college on a scholarship, but dropped out in his second semester, deciding that being a professional criminal was his calling. He’s been a professional thief ever since, and had a huge amount of success at it. He’s never been caught by the police, and his identity has remained unknown. His services are always in demand, which is what has brought him to Brooklyn.
