If I was Brooklyn T Guy, I would simply cut all ties with my family that isn't Karen or Penelope because they are the only people that actually care for him.

He has a neglectful dad that tried to sleep with his wife and did not give a shit about him, he has a mom that told him that he would not attend to his funeral when he was in the 5th grade and forced him to marry Debra, has Jonathan being a complete dick to him even though he has no reason to and compared to him, he is a joke and Debra is someone that he knows how many seconds he has been with her. Honestly, I can forgive him acting like a dick when this is his family.
