ah, ficcing’s…coming along. i’ve become super unmotivated towards the universe expanded (mainly because i feel like the story’s gotten away from me), but i am working on two things: the hufflepuff!brosami hogwarts au and a korrasami book 1 au that is based on a particular storyline from the british show misfits, which is actually something i started before i did stand on the horizon (the pacific rim au fic i sometimes think i shouldn’t have written) and have recently found motivation for. quite a bit of the story is drafted out

nothing can convince me that modern-au-asami wouldn’t be like the biggest star wars nerd. when she finds out korra has only seen episode iv when she was kid, asami says they must marathon star wars. and when korra asks why they’re watching them “out of order” (iv, v, i, ii, iii, vi), asami tries not to spoil the story while giving a long explanation as to why they need to watch the movies in that order. korra enjoys the movies but hasn’t become the nerd asami is (but glad she can now understand the references asami drops from time to time). she also loves what a nerd asami is

bolin’s also a huge star wars nerd, and he and asami have their occasional movie marathon friend-dates. they also see one of the first screenings of the force awakens, both dressed up of course (bolin as episode-vi-luke and asami as hoth-leia). they try to get korra and mako to go with them (korra as han and mako as lando) and both eventually give in when asami and bolin beg them enough

Yeah, I know that wand lengths don’t exactly go with their owner’s height, but I decided to have some fun with that (Opal being the shortest has the shortest wand, while Mako is the tallest with the longest wand). ngl, it took me a while to decide what cores and woods their wands would be made from.
