What a weekend!!! Summer has finally started in Durham Rising Suns... started off the weekend with our Gr 5 team with Coach Julius playing up in their first AAU at The Fight Irish Invitational in Rochester, NY. Hard battle with our 2005 Filipino Rep and unfortunately loss to secure a spot in the semifinals at Filipino Basketball League against to the top team CKATT. Fortunately our little warriors Fil Rep 2009 secured a spot in the semifinals by defeating UNDFTD team who fought all the way to the end. Our Gr. 4 CYBL team has opened up the summer CYBL with 1-1 record. This is just the begin... stay tuned for more exciting news from our Durham Rising Suns Family as our Gr 3, 5 and 7 battle is out on their first CYBL session next week. Our U10 Novice has wrapped up another 2 games yesterday. They both loss 2 games against kids older and much taller. However, they didn’t let those disadvantage stop them. They fought hard and came out with much knowledge and most of all TRUST of one another.
