We were play Mario games in the small monitor when we were child with gameboy. As the monitor were very small, your friends may feel crowd when they being an audience. As a result , if  the game projected on a wall or a plate, we can share the process to many people at once. 

We need to follow Mario during playing games, it can give us a realistic feeling of playing games so it is more interactive.
