Zatte. . Beer (Bier). . Drank… in Amsterdam this month, a Zatte beer brewed by Brouwerij ‘t IJ at Restaurant De Waaghals. Advertised as “The very first beer brewed by Brouwerij ‘t IJ, back in 1985. It is a ‘tripel’, the category reserved for the stronger, blonde beers in Belgian tradition. Zatte more than lives up to expectations in this respect. It is a full-bodied, golden beer with a scent of fresh fruit mingled here and there with a hint of grain. The flavour is slightly sweet, ending with a fine, dry aftertaste. A delicious beer that can be enjoyed in all seasons.” . Listened… to Oerend Hard by Normaal (1977). What title song would you listen to? Singing… “(Maar zoals altied kom an dat gejakker een end. #Repost @theluppoloexplorer Iconic places to visit in Amsterdam… that is, drinking craft beer under a windmill! 😍 If you are planning to visit the Dutch capital, it’s a must to visit the very famous Brouwerij 't IJ brewery (impossible to pronounce!) 🔝😂 Park your bike and dive into this piece of history 🚲 With its iconic ostrich logo, the brewery has been producing a large selection of beer since 1985. Despite the partnership born in 2015 with the Belgian group Duvel, the quality of their beers is excellent and the brand presents itself impeccably 👌 Needless to say, beyond the excellent productions, the place is unique in the world 🌎 We chose their beer flight (the last of the day) to try all their beers, including the famous Zatte (Triple) and Natte (Dubbel), just to name our favorites 🍻 But will we stop here?
