My Favorite Ever Sweet & Spicy Walnut Brussel Sprouts *Vegan* *Revamped recipe of mine from 2017! (Been improving it ever since😉.) I make these brussels for nearly every potluck or event I go to & they’re ALWAYS a favorite!* Recipe yields a large tray, about 10 servings. Each serving packs 73 calories, 7 grams of Carbohydrate & is PACKED with vitamins B6, C & K. The cherry on top is the heap of Omega 3s you’re getting from the Walnuts! Prep Time: 5 minutes Cook Time: 25 minutes Ingredients: -3 cups of Brussel Sprouts halved -½ cup of Chopped Walnuts -1 Red Onion diced -3 Garlic cloves smashed & minced -Drizzle of Light Olive Oil -1 tbsp Himalayan Salt -1 tbsp Black Pepper -2 tbsp of Red Pepper Flakes -2 tbsp of Brown Sugar Steps: -Rinse & dry brussel sprouts. -In a large skillet with a drizzle of light olive oil, saute halved brussel sprouts for about 10 minutes over a medium-high flame. Stir in diced red onion, minced garlic & walnuts. Cook for an additional 5 minutes. -Reduce to a medium flame, stir in salt, pepper, red pepper flakes & brown sugar, cover with a lid & cook for another 10 minutes, stirring often.
