Oh god the s8 handfasting aka wincest marriage is so beautiful 😭 and it was from that point onwards that they solely belonged to each other, no more Ruby or Lisa or Amelia. Okay maybe Amara and Eileen BUT both of those were supernaturally influenced so they don’t really count.

IFKR NONNIE LEMME CRY WITH YOU 😭😭 Also Sam and Dean's progression to domestic bliss is so beautiful too: in s8 they find a more permanent home to settle down in (aka the bunker), then they get married in a church in the finale (and Dean totally thinks they're married considering his "Does he want a divorce?" question) (and Crowley also agrees that Sam is Dean's wife), in s10 they have their (very brief) honeymoon, and starting from s11 they're literally like an old married couple. They no longer hide things from each other, they always trust each other, and they're just it for one another, you know?

Also, even though Dean was in thrall to Amara, I remember in one episode she hurt Sam and Dean snapped out of it immediately. As for Sam and Eileen, we all saw how fucking awkward he was with her, even with God himself pulling the strings, and how Sam kept resisting whatever meagre "romance" they had. No cosmic force could influence them to love anyone but each other, and that's really fucking beautiful.
