How long had she been running?
The little voice told her that it was okay to slow down, it was alright to take a deep breath. However, the much louder voice was telling her that if she so much as slowed down even a tiny bit, she would be dead.
"This is not happening," the girl muttered, running around the corner of a building. She finally couldn't run anymore, leaning against the side of it with a wince, hands holding the left side of her abdomen. Oh God. The pain was really starting to set in now.
She wasn't sure what it was, or who it was, or why it decided to attack her. She just knew that there were claws, and those claws scraped against her side... And now, Annie Greenberg was trying to keep her guts in with merely her hands. Blood was pouring into her shirt, down her pants, and she was white as a sheet. Blue eyes looked up, toward the sky.
How far away was she from a hospital?
The girl couldn't think too much about it, because her dizziness was growing stronger. Knees buckling, the girl fell toward the ground with a grunt, a small sob escaping her lips.
She wanted to wake up from this nightmare. Back against the brick wall, she merely waited. Face pale, eyes drooping, there was nothing she could do now. She couldn't feel her legs. She couldn't feel anything.
