An afternoon well spent killing time between a hair and nail appointment on a warm, sunny Saturday. ☀️😎
Had a Jazzy Sunday at The Music Village where they had a tribute to Brazilian Bossa. It fit perfectly with my rainy, mellow Sunday mood... and was a great show beginning to end. I plan to return! 🎶
I made sure to get my fill of raclette sandwiches and tartiflette this past Sunday on the last day of the Christmas Markets in Brussels. 🧀 🥔
And as usual, the light show at Saint Catherine didn’t disappoint. I wish we could have markets like this all year long!
Hunter is da BEST puzzle helpa evah! 😉
I’ve seriously been in puzzle-mania with this one of the streets of Brussels. It’s hard, but I’m liking that it’s letting me get familiar with unexplored parts of the city!
I spent some time tour guiding today with a friend from University. Andrea has been coming to Belgium for work over the last year, but with my work and personal travel, our schedules haven’t matched... until today!
I took Andrea and her colleague, Violet, who was visiting Europe for the first time through the typical Brussels sites... Justice Palace, Marolles Market, Sablon, Royal Palace, Mont des Arts, Grand Place, Westvleteren 12 at Monk, Mannekin Pis, Belgian waffles, and of course, Delirium. I love acting like a tourist in my own city! 🤗🇧🇪
Had a pretty epic celebratory dinner last night with foodie friends, Alexander and Johanna Talbot. We celebrated upcoming moves big and small at a One Michelin Star restaurant, Villa Emily, along with some of their out of town friends. The plates were definitely Instagrammable and the food was scrumptious.
The price and time spent isn’t for everyday, but was fantastic for a special occasion. 😋🍽⭐️
Highlights from a long-awaited trip to the Magritte Museum which I finally managed to prioritize yesterday. Pretty impressive Belgian dude! 🇧🇪👍
Today I did the Brussels Urban Trail! I signed up SUPER last minute (about 30 minutes before the deadline and less than 12 hours before the event itself), but it was worth the scramble. There were 19 different stops along the 11km course... through Bozar, the House of European History, the Museum of Military History, Institute of Natural Sciences, Belvue Museum, and more! It was hard to resist the urge not to retrieve my phone from my running belt at every stop and just take it all in. What a cool way to see the city! Also, thank goodness for the reasonable man controlling the entry to the start who let me run with Wave 2 instead of having to wait 90 minutes for my assigned Wave 6 group. The “Helpdesk” told me it wasn’t possible when I originally asked, which I obviously didn’t find very helpful. 🤪 Good thing not all Belgians are beholden to “the process”! 😬
