9, 52, 62 + 4 more that you really want to answer
I like the “4 more that you really want to answer.” It’s a nice touch. Also, thanks for asking!
I’m an extrovert, but almost all my friends are introverts, which isn’t necessarily weird, but it often makes me like I’m being louder and clingier than I should be.
What is your favorite quote?
“In life, unlike in chess, the game continues after checkmate.” -Isaac Asimov
How can people tell you are sad?
I talk much less when I’m sad. Or, if I’m crying, I talk much more but also more incoherently.
Have you committed an illegal act?
I chose this question because I have had a penchant for accidentally shoplifting by absentmindedly putting something in my pocket or something not getting rung up. To this day, my accidental theft has included scissors (which my parents made me go back in and pay for), a pen (which I didn’t go back in and pay for), and a shirt from Target (I bought two that looked the same except for the neckline, but they were bunched up when I put it on the conveyor belt so the cashier only charged me for one. I did not pay for the second shirt because 8 dollars is way too much for a plain black t shirt I was mostly going to be wearing under my sleeveless dresses.)
What were your aspirations at age 5, 10, 15, 18?
At five, I really wanted to work at McDonald’s because then I’d get free food. At 10, I wanted to be an English teacher, but my parents kept telling me I wouldn’t make any money. At 15, I told everyone I wanted to be a dentist because my parents kept “suggesting” it as a career (I also wanted a boyfriend, a laptop, and straight A’s). At 18, I was going to be a doctor like my parents (I was about to go to college as a bio major), but really what I wanted was to be happy. I couldn’t do both, so I switched majors and transferred schools.
Now, at 25, I’m aspiring to be a writer and an English professor. I think 10 year old me would be happy about that.
I wouldn’t say so. Once every two weeks is my average.
What is the nicest thing anyone has said to you?
“You’re a good writer,” is one and, “You’re a good sister” is another.
