I am safe. 

We’ve turned off the news. Not because we don’t care, but because they don’t really know anything new. And it is depressing.

We are listening to classical music and working quietly on our projects. 

Someone messaged me and they said “it’s hard not to be angry” and I thought, “yeah. thats true.” but at the same time, I don’t feel angry. 

We know that there are circumstances that bred this situation. There is nothing the city could have done to keep us safer. It is sad that people died. I feel badly for the people that loved them: they are victims of something horrible. 

I think we are all very cautious about what can happen next. 

Not that there will be another bomb, but whether it will cause rise to more racism and hatred. More misunderstanding and divisions. Globally we become more and more connected each day, there is less and less room for separation. 

The Bruxellois are gonna smother this thing in love. 

We aren’t going to fan the flame.
