⤷ A bruxromantic individual experiences an arospec experience due to feeling as though they can only experience love while also feeling hate toward the object of their love. This hate may be active and continual, may die out after some time, or might be former hate that developed into feelings of love.
⤷ These feelings might be as if the individual is an abused dog who was rehomed and loves their owner, but still lashes out at their owner; the feeling of love and care is present, but so is the urge to bite.
⤷ A bruxromantic individual may have trauma and/or a personality disorder (such as BPD) that causes or influences this experience, but it is not a requirement!
⤷ The prefix brux- comes from the term bruxism, which refers to the grinding of teeth, often caused by stress or internal tension.
Bruxromantic is not a term that romanticizes or encourages domestic abuse. Bruxromantic individuals are at their own responsibility to manage their emotions and experiences.
